Set in a secluded location on the edge of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, Swallow Barn is a delightful new conversion of the old cowshed into luxury self-catering accommodation. Unbroken views of Roughtor and Brown Willy greet you from the front of the barn and its private garden, while only the sound of birdsong and the nearby moorland animals disturb the tranquil atmosphere. When night falls there is nothing to light the sky except the moon and the profusion of stars. This is an ideal location for walkers, cyclists and bird watchers or those who simply want to enjoy peace, quiet and serenity away from the madding crowds.

From the front door you step into a spacious open plan area, which comprises the kitchen, dining space, and the comfortable sitting area with a welcoming woodburner for any chilly spring or autumn evenings. The bathroom has modern, luxury fittings, and down a single step is the  very generous double bedroom, with space for a cot.

The moorland village of St. Breward with its pub, shop and Post Office is just 3 miles away, while Blisland, the only village in Cornwall with a village green, and its famous pub the Blisland Inn, are just a couple of miles further. The small market town of Camelford with a range of general shops and restaurants is a ten minute drive.

From the wide sandy beaches of Bude and Widemouth Bay through the old fishing villages such as Boscastle and Port Isaac down to the port of Padstow, there is much to see and explore along the dramatic north Cornwall coast, which is just a few miles away from Swallow Barn.

Cornwall is home to many historic buildings and gardens, which are privately owned or kept by The National Trust or English Heritage,  as well as the famous Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan, all within easy reach.
